You may be tempted to get rid of the tangles of your hair immediately so after showering, you would use your brush to get rid of the tangles usually located at the bottom portion of your hair. There are other options available;

  • Allow your hair to dry with the use of a hair wrap or a cotton shirt.
  • Once it has been cloth-dried, use a wide-toothed comb in order to get rid of the tangles.
  • Allow your hair to dry and once it is fully dry, that is when you can start brushing.
2. Do not shampoo your hair every day:

There are some people who still shampoo every day because they feel that they need to get rid of the dirt and particles that have gotten stuck on their hair and scalp but actually, shampooing daily can be bad for your hair because the scalp becomes too dry. Shampooing your hair often can change the pH levels of your hair. It needs to be slightly acidic in order to look amazing.

  • You can use a conditioner every day.
  • Always choose shampoos and conditioners that are meant for your hair type.
  • If you have color-treated hair, you may need a special shampoo for it.
3. Avoid using any heat to style your hair:

At this point, you already know that this cannot be avoided especially if you go to events all the time and you have to look your best. If you can think of other indigenous ways to style your hair without using heat, then do it whenever you can. It will reduce hair breakage.

  • You can use the low setting on your hair tools if you absolutely have to style your hair.
  • Use heat protectors that you can apply on your hair before you use the right tools.
  • You can use the hair tools as quickly as possible so you will not be exposing your hair too much to the heat.
4. Protect your hair from the heat of the sun:

Aside from your tools, your hair is also going to be exposed to heat when you are outside all the time. Protect your hair with the use of hats or caps. There are also serums that you can apply on your hair that contain SPF so your hair can be protected.
